Peirce College Online is proud that it bases its curriculum around students with other commitments in life, including jobs and families. Peirce College Online does this by offering many of their degrees online, offering classes at night and on the weekends, and the Peirce Corporate College, an innovative new way for people to earn their college degrees while they are actually at work. This expansion of the conventional classroom allows a broad range of students to learn at their own pace and in fields that are really of interest to them. Peirce College Online offers Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in such fields as Business Administration, Information Technology, or Paralegal Studies. The administrators of Peirce College Online recognizes that these fields, as well as their other fields of study, represent areas with a high potential for success after college. Peirce College Online is proud not only to enhance and develop intelligent students, but also to adequately prepare them for life after college and outside of the virtual classroom.
The faculty at Peirce College Online are the same faculty members that teach in the physical classrooms, and their experience is what makes them experts in their respective fields. Credit Requirements
* Certificates of Proficiency:
Students will complete a minimum of 31 credits in 11 classes. A certificate program offers students the practical training and skills they need for immediate employment. Certificate programs can be a great opportunity for students holding a bachelor's degree, but seeking a career change in another field. Peirce students can earn certificates of proficiency in seven areas: Business Law, Business Administration/Management, .NET Technology, Programming, Windows Network Operating Systems, Help Desk Technician, and Paralegal Studies.
* Associate Degrees:
Students will complete a minimum of 61 credits to earn an associate degree. Generally, a student will complete 61 credits in 21 classes. A student who has not transferred in more than 30 credits can earn an associate degree while progressing toward a bachelor's. Once a student earns an associate degree, s/he can continue taking classes and work towards the bachelor's degree.
A student can transfer in more than 30 credits and still earn an associate degree if the additional credits are applied to the bachelor's degree. Transfer students may also transfer their entire associate degree for 60 credits and immediately start working on the bachelor's degree.
* Bachelor's Degrees:
Students will complete a minimum of 121 credits to earn a bachelor's degree. Generally, a student will generally complete 121 credits in 41 classes.
Sometimes students graduate with more than the minimum number of credits. This can occur if a student changes degrees or takes a course that is not part of a particular degree plan. Students who do not take courses for more than one year need to be readmitted to the College. In the event degree requirements have changed, these students might find themselves taking additional courses.
* PRC101:
All students new to the College are required to complete Peirce College 101 within their first two sessions.
* General Education:
All degree programs contain a core curriculum of general education courses, which expose students to a variety of building blocks needed in all fields of study.
